Install Babelo: step-by-step help
Installing Babelo takes two minutes once you know where to tap. Follow the steps for your phone.
Install Babelo on iPhone

Open the Babelo page on the App Store from your iPhone and install the app.

Open the Babelo app once — it explains how to activate the keyboard.

Go to Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard ▸ Keyboards ▸ Add New Keyboard ▸ Babelo.

Tap Babelo in the list and turn on “Allow Full Access”.
Don't skip this step
Without Full Access, iOS blocks the keyboard's internet access, so no translation is possible at all. This is an Apple rule for every third-party keyboard, not a Babelo flaw — and it's the number one cause of “it doesn't work”.

In WhatsApp, tap the globe at the bottom of the keyboard to switch to Babelo.
Tip: translate a received message in one tap
When you copy a message and tap the eye button, Babelo shows a Paste button. That's an iOS rule: without it, your phone would ask for permission on every message. To remove that extra tap for good:
- Settings ▸ Babelo ▸ Paste from Other Apps ▸ Allow
- Open the Babelo app ▸ Settings ▸ Eye button ▸ turn on “Translate in one tap”
From then on: copy the message, tap the eye, the translation opens.
Don't do step 2 without step 1 — iOS would ask for permission every time. The step-1 setting exists since iOS 16.1: if it doesn't appear on your iPhone, the Paste button remains the normal path.
